Cartography

In my work, I have created a significant number of fantasy and medieval-style maps. These include maps based on real locations, as well as maps entirely drawn from imagination.

Below, you will find examples of fantasy and medieval-style maps, all of which adhere to the correct geographical rules for realism. Additionally, there are real maps created in the style of fantasy maps.

For this project, I was assigned the task of creating three entirely imaginary fantasy islands from scratch, using only the names of the islands and cities as a starting point. The map was to be designed in a classic medieval/fantasy style without color.

It was an incredibly enjoyable expreience as I had the opportunity to engage in worldbuilding. Although the locations are entirely fictional, the map adheres to real geographical and tectonic principles, giving the world a sense of realism within its own realm.

For this project, I created a map that portrays a medieval-style version of a real Italian city. The map incorporates medieval elements such as towers and city walls, while still maintaining the accurate structure of the actual city.

Medieval Maps of Europe

In this ongoing project, I have been assigned the task of creating medieval-looking, yet still modern, maps of various European countries.

I employ a variety of brushes and techniques to achieve the weathered appearance of old maps, while ensuring that everything remains legible.

Cartography and worlbuilding have become one of my absolute specialties, and I take great pride in this aspect of my work.

I believe that the key to my cartographic abilities lies in the combination of my illustrative skills and my understanding of the core principles of geography and tectonics. This enables me to create maps that not only look visually appealing but also make logical sense.
